Emily Stiver
Registered Veterinary Technician
Emily Stiver (Em) is a passionate and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with over a decade of experience in animal care. After earning her accreditation in 2012, Emily has focused her career on providing exceptional patient care, with a particular interest in surgery, dentistry, and dermatology. Her love for animals and hands-on work drives her to ensure every patient gets the best care possible. Her journey into veterinary medicine began at the age of 10 when she first tended to her family dog, Mick, with a little medical kit of her own.
Growing up on a horse farm, Emily developed a lifelong connection with animals. For 13 years, she’s shared a special bond with her companion horse, Martini. In 2013, Emily’s dedication to her field led her to the University of Guelph, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology in 2017 while continuing to work in the industry.
When she’s not caring for animals, Emily enjoys spending cozy weekends at the cottage, baking, cooking, and diving into a good book. Travel is another passion of hers, and she’s had the opportunity to volunteer in Guatemala, working with local communities to provide spay/neuter clinics for animals in need.
At home, Emily shares her life with her partner Aaron, their two dogs, Kevin and Lily, and their playful cat Randall. Most recently, they’ve adopted Marvin, a snuggly and playful Siamese mix who has quickly become a cherished member of the family. Together, they create a warm and loving home filled with laughter and joy.
